05.06.2020 – The worst is hopefully behind us. For this reason, the Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa would like to provoke some anticipation for the summer 2021 and has launched the bulletin 1 for the most important amateur sports and family orienteering event in Central Europe.

After around two years of preparatory work, the time has come: Since 5 June 2020, the invitation with all details for the Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa from 17 to 24 July 2021 has been published (link).

The first stage of the Swiss O Week 2021 Arosa will open with a tricky forest sprint near the Obersee. To the second stage, the mountain railway will take participants over many kilometers to Lenzerheide for a long-distance orienteering course in alpine terrain. The third stage offers an exciting debut:  the day before on the way to stage two, the gondola traversed over the competition area of the picturesque Urdental valley. On this third day, it is now your turn to look for challenging control sites in this very same area.

After the rest day, the fourth stage will once more aim high, more precisely up on the Brüggerhorn from where the participants will start. The finish is then right next to the Arosa Bear Sanctuary, one of Arosa's highlights. The fifth stage heads to the opposite side of the valley into the mountain forest around the romantic Grüensee. The final and sixth stage starts right under the Hörnli Express and goes by the Schwellisee to the very last finish chute in Arosa.

In addition to the competition-specific information, links to a wide range of possible activities for the whole family in Arosa are provided in the bulletin and on the website. It is possible to plan additional days of sport and fun in the Schanfigg during the previous week. Starting 13 July 2021, many offers for the family can be combined with specific orienteering trainings on four different maps.
