SOW 2026 - Getting there

The 2026 Swiss O Week will be held in the south-west of Switzerland in the canton of Valais, close to the border to France.

Travelling by public transport

Travel to Morgins in a sustainable way and chose the option public transport. Take the SBB to Aigle (direct connections from Geneva/Lausanne) and change there to the TPC local train in the direction of Champéry. Alternatively, travel with the SBB from Brig to Monthey and change there to the TPC local train in the direction of Champéry. Depending on the connection, you will then have to change to the TPC bus to Morgins either in Collombey or in Troistorrents.

Travelling by car

Take the A9 motorway to the "St-Triphon" exit; follow the cantonal road to Morgins. From Monthey, it takes about 20 minutes to climb 900 metres up a good road.

Charging stations for electric cars can be found in Monthey (SUI), Collombey (SUI), Val-d'Illiez (SUI), Champéry (SUI), Les Crosets (SUI) and Châtel (FRA).

Travelling by air

Morgins is accessible from Geneva airport by car in approximately 80 minutes and by train/TCP bus in about 2 3/4 hours.

Public parking

Public parking in the villages is mostly free of charge.

Transport to the competitions

Swiss O Week bus

The Swiss O Week 2026 will provide a bus service between Morgins and Châtel and the stage access points. This service can be booked in addition to the entry fee and will run at least every half hour. The frequency of the Swiss O Week bus will be dependent on the number of bookings.

The bus service can also be booked after registration via the web shop. Tickets can be purchased at short notice from SOW staff when boarding the bus.

Bicycles

There will be designated parking spaces for bicycles at the stage competition centres and at the valley stations of the mountain railways.

Private transport

We offer Swiss O Week participants the opportunity to coordinate their travel to and from Swiss O Week, as well as transport to and from the stages during the competition week, in carpooling groups. Hitchhiker's user-friendly and reliable platform makes it easy to organise carpooling.
