Stage 1, 16.07.2023, Flims, The classic stage
The Flimser forest stirs up many mixed feelings in lots of orienteers because it is beautiful, difficult and risky to drown in the Bermuda Triangle. The challenge will be to get away with as few mistakes as possible. It is best to do what the World Champ cracks have already shown in the same area and then everything is half as bad and thus it becomes pure joy to orienteer in such an exciting forest.
It is important to cheer on the World Cup stars in their relay races after having finished your own run.
Stage 2, 17.07.2023, Crap Sogn Gion, The panoramic stage
After arriving by gondola, the event centre on Crap Sogn Gion has already been reached. The grandiose 360°-panorama is omnipresent, even during the competition as one moves to the North or to the South of the Crest la Siala. Many depressions, ribs, rocks and open alpine meadows can be seen in the competition area. Good control over the elevation levels and skilful route choices will be the successful factors of this stage.

Stage 3, 18.07.2023, Vorab, The cool stage
Anyone who has already been to the Swiss O Week 2011, will surely remember this unique orienteering environment. During the competition, one must keep track of the countless rocks, depressions, cliffs and knolls and, in between, snowfields must also be crossed. For a perfect preparation of this stage, it is advisable to look down from the gondola on its final section of the airy ride to the competition centre.

Stage 4, 20.07.2023, Nagens, The deceptive stage
The Arena Express transports everybody to the competition centre near the Berghaus (mountain house) Nagens where one can once again enjoy the remarkable panorama. Most categories will reach the peculiar and technically spectacular landscape of “Sur Crap”. Again, it will be important to accurately keep track of the many knolls, depressions and cliffs and not let your gaze wander too far into the distance. The open terrain belies the technical difficulties. The way to the finish leads over open pastures back to the Berghaus Nagens.
Course-setters: Kurt Schmid, Beat Okle
Stage 5, 21.07.2023, Tektonikarena Sardona, The tectonic stage
Same approach, same competition centre, yet another, even more spectacular view! During the competition, one could marvel at the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. The clash of the European and African continents has piled up the Alps and the forces of the formations of mountains can here be experienced vividly and monumentally. However, one should also concentrate on the technical aspect of orienteering and be precisely aware once more of all the knolls, depressions and cliffs while running. Towards the finish one sees gentler alpine meadows and the slightly sloping area allows a fast sprint to the finish line.
Course-setters: Roland Ludwig, Thomas Geiges
Stage 6, 22.07.2023, Laax, The enjoyable stage
Once more the stage will be in the Flimser forest and once again the Swiss O Week guests can enjoy a World Championship area. The Uaul Grond terrain shows itself here from the lovelier side. Fast passages in the open forest alternate with technical parts between rocks and hills. It will be crucial to adjust the speed and the technical aspects cleanly between the different terrain parts. Just once more it will be orienteering to be enjoyed.
