The Swiss Orienteering Week (SOW) 2011 should have a sustainable effect on orienteering in the region and enable the OLG Chur to convince people of all ages to try orienteering.

Orienteering should become better known in the region's schools and the pupils and teachers should receive an introduction to orienteering.

The Swiss O Week School Cup races prior to the SOW should raise awareness of the Swiss O Week in the region through the media, children who tell about their experiences, and teachers.

The school and village maps will also be available after the SOW.
