Intense rain showers turned the mountain streams into raging torrents which meant those courses on Ruosalp had to be cancelled.
The road from Sisikon to Riemenstalden was blocks by landslides. The area Chinzig-Seenalp, which had been planned for day 6, was brought forward to day 4.
Although the road to Riemenstalden could be opened on 7th August, the entire competition was ready and the controsl had been set, there was still a danger of further landslides. As a result day 6 was replanned completely and used Gibel once more.
