Statement to the last day:

Unfortunately several classes on the last day had to be declared void. The very short time available to organise the last day on the same area as day 5
meant that the course planning team could not check all control sites as thoroughly as they normally would do. As an unfortunate result two controls were incorrectly placed.

Control no. 113 for the classes D40, D45 H45:
The course planning team repositioned the control after a short time. For most runners it was correct.

Control no. 78 for the classes HB, H14, H12, DB, D55, D65, D70, D14, D12,
FM, FK, HAK, FM, FK:
The first complaint was received at 13.00 and therefore too late for the control to be corrected for the majority of the runners.

Control no. 41 for the classes H55, D18, HAK:
This was removed by someone around 12.50 and was therefore missing for the late starters.

Protests were submitted for all classes and these were upheld by the jury.
This meant that the classes had to be declared void. In the overall results these classes were treated as not started. Therefore for some classes only four or, indeed, three races counted for the overall result.
The times for day 6 are available on the internet (under day 6). On the PDF of the overall results these were shown under day 4, as this was the
postponed Lidernen race of day 4. This was for IT reasons and could not be changed in the short time available.

The prizes for the voided classes were raffled at the prize giving on Saturday evening.

We regret that the circumstances described above led to the last day being declared void for some classes. We hope that the competitors at the SOW 2009 Muotatal will nevertheless remember it as a good event.
